A 1981 University of Illinois graduate with a degree in journalism, Jayne Flores moved to Guam in 1984 as an investigative reporter for the former Guam Cable TV. After taking a scuba class and eventually marrying her instructor, she did freelance work for several years while raising their three daughters. From 1999 to 2003 she wrote a newspaper column, and in April 2003, she became the editor-in-chief of Guahan Magazine. In October 2006, she temporarily returned to television to become news director for the Pacific News Center ABC-7. In 2008, she began teaching at the University of Guam while simultaneously working toward her master’s degree in English and becoming the number one fan at all of her daughters’ sports games! Often asked why she didn’t write columns any more, Flores decided to embark on this blogging venture. Her computer technology skills leave much to be desired, so please consider this site a “work in progress.”
